THE REEL FLING

Ceilidh is a social gathering which includes story-telling, poetry readings and song. Ceilidh involves a cheerful local band, ceilidhs are a really popular way of celebration. Whether it be getting married, Christmas or marking smaller events like birthdays and fund-raising events.The music is usually  played on instruments like the accordion and drums etc. once all combined it gives an uplifting, rhythmical melody which sets the pace of the dancing.

You are not expected to dance but it is very fun to be part of. The Reel Fling do actually call out the moves across a microphone for a couple of sets to get you in the groove and then the dancing kicks off in earnest.
